The company is an exciting and growing manufacturing company with a market leading product and a global customer base. The company now wishes to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to help drive the business forward.

The Job…

Responsible to the Managing Director for the key aspects of the business outlined below. 

Duties include: 

• Responsible for the production of key products
• Raw material ordering and negotiations
• Health and Safety
• Management and organisation of production and officeStaff
• Responsibility for the efficient delivery of allUKproducts
• Responsibility for the efficient shipping of nonUK, sea and air freighted products
• Managing the key supplier relationships
• Responsibility for the management of the engineering department, ensuring engineering customer service excellence
• Engineering project management
• Implementing a preventative factory maintenance programme
• Dealing with all facilities issues and managing key relationships
• Working with our external IT consultants to ensure all IT is working and delivered in a cost effective way. 

The Person…

Our client is looking for someone with manufacturing experience and specifically an extrusion background. This could be in the food or plastics industry. They also need to have very good organisational abilities, have experience of warehousing, logistics and systems. 

They need to be personable, professional and command the respect and confidence of those around them. They must be able to drive. A foreign language would be useful and may need to travel abroad from time to time.

Duration:       Permanent

Hours:           Days 08:00am -17:00pm Monday to Friday

Salary:           In the region of £35k

Location:       Cardiff
